FY2021 SNJCOC Local NOFO-New Projects Process Open!

Applications for NEW PROJECTS will be accepted from eligible organizations interested in applying for 2021 HUD funding from Bonus, Domestic Violence Bonus, and Reallocated funds to provide permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, and supportive services. A Review Committee will evaluate proposals based on objective performance criteria, local needs and priorities, and make recommendations to the SNJCoC Executive Board on the prioritization of these funds. The Committee reserves the right to request additional information as needed.  

Southern New Jersey CoC is eligible  to apply for:

  • Up to $298,429in new project bonus funding to create a new permanent supportive housing project for chronically homeless individuals (CoC Priority); and
  • Up to$895,288 in Domestic Violence (DV) Bonus projects dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking (24 CFR 578.3).

SNJCoC are also seeking applications for the following type of DV Bonus projects:

  • Permanent Housing-Rapid Rehousingprojects dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking that are defined as home (24 CFR 578.3)
  • Supportive services only– coordinated entry project to implement policies, procedures, and practices that equip the CoC’s coordinated entry to better meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. 

DV Bonus funds can also be used to expand an existing renewal project if the expansion project is dedicated to survivor of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022 Prevention Reinvestment Funds

The Community Planning and Advocacy Council (CPAC)  is pleased to announce that proposals will be accepted from eligible organizations interested in providing services for Early Childhood Success, Positive Youth Development, and Strong Families Strong Communities to prevent child abuse and neglect in Camden County.  A Community Review Process administered by the Community Planning & Advocacy Council (CPAC) will evaluate proposals on the allocation of these funds. Each organization can send in only two (2) applications per funding cycle, but the two applications can be from any of the three (3) categories. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is based on the availability of funds and for fiscal year July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.

The Southern New Jersey Continuum of Care (SNJCoC) is an association of county-wide homelessness Continuums of Care that provides information, services, and advocacy for and on behalf of the homeless population in the area of service within the participating Southern NJ Counties (Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, and Gloucester). The mission of the Southern New Jersey Continuum of Care is to work to prevent and end homelessness through a public and private collaboration that maximizes efforts and leverages resources. Applications for renewal projects will be accepted from eligible organizations interested in applying for 2021 HUD funding to continue provide housing and supportive services. A Review Committee will evaluate proposals based on objective performance criteria, local needs and priorities, and make recommendations to the SNJCoC Executive Board on the prioritization of these funds. Phase CARES of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Program (EFSP) Referral For Proposals

Camden County has been awarded $104,825 in funds through the State Set-Aside process under Phase CARES of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Program (EFSP).

Notice is hereby given to interested parties that the Camden County Local EFSP Board will accept applications from eligible agencies/organizations for State Set-Aside Phase CARES Supplemental Funding. Under the terms of the National Board, agencies/organizations that chose to receive funds must 1) be non-profit, 2) have an established accounting system, 3) practice non-discrimination, 4) have demonstrated the capacity to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs and 5) if they are a non-profit or voluntary organization, they must have a voluntary board. Qualified organizations are urged to apply.
